In Their Own Story

The investigation led Madison and her friends deep into Apex's operations. After discovering the secret underground facility in Pensacola, they were transported to Hong Kong where they found a test of Mechagodzilla being piloted by Ren Serizawa using Ghidorah's severed head. When Apex CEO Walter Simmons ordered Ren to activate the weapon, the machine became possessed by Ghidorah's consciousness, killing Walter and electrocuting Ren before attacking Hong Kong and overpowering Godzilla. Amidst the chaos, Madison was caught by security and taken to Walter just as he gave the activation order. Later, she reunited with her father, Mark Russell, alongside Bernie and Josh. The trio watched as Godzilla charged Kong's axe with his atomic breath, allowing Kong to destroy Mechagodzilla. In the aftermath, Godzilla and Kong acknowledged each other before going their separate ways.
