Godzilla
A Titan who maintains order between humanity and other monsters.
In Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Godzilla acts as the enforcer of order between humanity and giant monsters known as 'Titans' on Earth's surface. After killing Titanus Scylla for attacking Rome, Italy, he takes up residence in the Colosseum. Sensing an unidentified signal, he leaves Rome to attack a nuclear plant in France to absorb radiation before heading to the lair of the Titan Tiamat in the Arctic. He later kills Tiamat and absorbs cosmic radiation from her lair, which turns his dorsal plates magenta. After the battle with the Skar King concludes, Godzilla returns to rest once again in the Colosseum.

Lore & Background
Within the events of The New Empire, Godzilla begins by maintaining balance on the Earth's surface, specifically killing Titanus Scylla after it attacked Rome, Italy. Sensing an unidentified signal that causes hallucinations in Jia, he departs his post in the Colosseum to attack a nuclear plant in France to absorb radiation. This leads him to the Arctic lair of the Titan Tiamat. To prepare for the oncoming threat detected by Monarch, Godzilla kills Tiamat and absorbs cosmic radiation from her lair. This absorption causes a visible transformation: his dorsal plates turn magenta. Later, when Kong surfaces in Cairo to call out for assistance against the Skar King, an enraged Godzilla attacks him until Mothra intervenes to soothe him. Following the defeat of the Skar King and Shimo's ice age, Godzilla uses his atomic breath to undo the freezing effects before returning to rest in the Colosseum.
In Their Own Story
Three years after defeating Mechagodzilla, Godzilla was found resting in the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, having recently killed Titanus Scylla for attacking the city. When a signal caused Jia to experience visions, Godzilla sensed it and left his post, traveling to France where he attacked a nuclear plant to absorb radiation. His journey continued to the Arctic lair of Tiamat, where Monarch believed he was strengthening himself. After killing Tiamat, he absorbed cosmic radiation that turned his dorsal plates magenta. Kong eventually surfaced in Cairo to call out to him, but an enraged Godzilla attacked instead of listening. The conflict only ended when Mothra intervened and soothed the King of Monsters. Together, they returned to the Hollow Earth to face the Skar King's forces. After Shimo was freed from her enslavement and the Skar King defeated, Godzilla used his atomic breath to undo the second ice age induced by Shimo in Rio de Janeiro, then returned to rest in the Colosseum.
Reader's Guide
In this installment, Godzilla functions as a stabilizing force, first seen maintaining order after killing Titanus Scylla. His preparation for conflict involves seeking out radiation sources; he attacks a nuclear plant in France and later absorbs cosmic radiation from Tiamat's lair, which visibly changes his dorsal plates to magenta. When summoned by Kong in Cairo, Godzilla initially reacts with aggression, attacking the ape until Mothra intervenes to calm him down. This shows that while he maintains order, communication requires intervention from other Titans like Mothra. His combat utility is demonstrated when he chases the Skar King and Shimo to Rio de Janeiro. Crucially, his atomic breath serves not just as a weapon but as a restorative tool used to undo the ice age caused by Shimo. The film concludes with him returning to his base in the Colosseum.
